GREEN HOUSE

Green house farming  is fast becoming the most sort after business,it has tippled food production thus most profitable.Green houses are of various types.

however before you choose what type of green house to build you must do your survey 

• drainage of the surface to build
• weather condition of location
• wind 
• accessibility
• utilities available like water and power
• crop type onion,strawberry etc.

green houses have wide range cost and features.The structural frame must be able to withstand wind rain,sun.

The roofing material must be transparent enough to let light pass through,this is because 1% light loss that is 1% yield lost,ventilation also be looked at to avoid overheating and also cold.

When choosing green house make sure you choose the right size for your production measurement.very small green houses takes more cost to operate than the larger one,simply because of heat high rate. .Minimum size should be 100sq ft,ie 10ft by  10ft from 200sq ft is better. eg a house of 9 0r 14 ft wide by  20ft long is easier to manage.

Covering

Metallic frame last longer however it must be stainless steel or aluminium to avoid rust.Incase of cheaper option like wood must be treated to avoid termite while pvc  pipes are also good however choose a study type due to degradation by hot sun rays.
Determine the width of green house by adding width of plant benches with width of walk way ,you should allow space of approximate 6 inches between the side walls and the benches to allow air circulation.

Foundation

when constructing a green house make sure the foundation is strong enough to withstand heavy rain and wind..

This is the walking path in green house it should be at least 3 1/4 of an inch using crashed  gravel stones.

while planting choose a strong benches this should be strong to hold soil and plant.

Drip irrigation Systems.

this is an irrigation system that is the most effective in conservation of water,it  effectively  uses pocked  holes along narrow pipe to drip water.

this method has works by means of gravity,the rate at which water is dripped depends on the  height of elevated tank.the higher the tank above the ground the higher the rate of drip Pressure  is gained when you raise the tank or source  higher than the laid pipes. .

for you to effectively manage water in  the system you have to adjust the valve to the correct gauge.
